Description:

Duke was raised as a puppy by an older gentleman on 25 acres and has known only love and
playtime. He is now 14 months old and learning basic skills such as walking calmly on a leash
and meeting new people. He has natural puppy energy and will do best in a securely fenced
yard where he can run and play. He is 100% house trained and comfortable indoors in his
kennel at night. Duke is craving his special person whom he can shower with his loyalty and be
his best buddy. Always up for a game of fetch, tug or a good romp outdoors, he can be your
constant companion. Duke requires an experienced owner as he has bonded with his foster
mom and displays typical shepherd guarding behavior. With slow, proper introductions, Duke
is everyone’s best friend. . He plays rough and would do fine as an only dog or possibly with a
dog his size or larger. Duke is available for individual introductions in St. Clair County with an
approved application.

We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.

 

Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.

 

Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.

 

MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
