Hello, my name is Gunner. I am a 7-Year-Old German Shorthair Pointer who is Black and White. People tell me I am very Handsome as I have a Muscular/Athletic body with Sweet, Soulful Brown Eyes. I love HUGS and Belly Rubs. I also like to play FETCH. Keep reading more about me.

My Affectionate Personality!
I am a bit shy, but Warm Up quickly to those who show me some kindness. I do BOND CLOSELY to my family. As you can see by my photo, I like to Lean Into my FAMILY members to get lots of HUGS and PETS! Belly Rubs are also appreciated. I also think I am a Lap Dog - I enjoy Cuddle Time!!

I am a FUN Dog who FETCHES & TUGS!
I might be 7 Years Old, but that doesn't stop me from having some FUN! I love to play FETCH and GO for WALKS! When I play FETCH I will Bring the Ball Back and Drop It for you. I will do this over and over again! I also enjoy playing TUG, and yes, I will DROP the TOY when you ask me to. I am a GREAT DOG!! FUN, PLAYFUL and EAGER to PLEASE!

I am a SMART Doggie!
My family said that I am HOUSETRAINED and CRATE TRAINED too. I am very RESPONSIVE to VOICE Commands. I know the SIT, DOWN, STAY, DROP, WAIT and SHAKE PAW commands! I also walk fairly nicely on the leash. I do pull occasionally, but will settle into a good walk once we get going.

I LOVE CAR RIDES!
I really enjoy going on an ADVENTURE with my FAMILY. I either SIT in the SEAT and Look Out the Window or Lay Down in the Seat until we get to our destination.

I am a WELL MANNERED DOGGIE!
I am very well mannered doggie in the house. I am CALM/CUDDLY inside and PLAYFUL when going OUTSIDE for FETCH/TUG. I do NOT go on the FURNITURE, but I would like to. I will SIT BESIDE my FAMILIES FEET when they are watching TV, or CRAWL in their LAP when they sit on the floor. I do LOOK at my family when they eat, but I will LAY DOWN if you ask me to. I will do just about anything to keep my family happy!!

I am GOOD in the CRATE/HOUSE when you are GONE!
Right now my family does not have to use a crate for me, but I am very good in a crate. They just say "Crate" and I will go in willingly. They do work outside of the home, and I am good for 8-9 hours while they are gone. FYI - please use a crate until I get used to my new home. It keeps me and your home safe.

Grooming!
I am Good for a BATH and I also enjoy getting BRUSHED. My family does take me to a GROOMER to get my NAILS TRIMMED. I have sensitive feet and do not like to get my nails trimmed.

I SLEEP all NIGHT LONG!
My current family said I SLEEP in a DOG BED next to their BED. I sleep in my bed until they get up in the morning. I am such a GREAT DOG!

I am a HEALTHY DOGGIE!
I am a very Heathy Doggie who weighs about 43 Pounds and I am full grown. I am up to date on my vaccinations, and the rescue will make sure I am heart worm screened and microchipped before I get adopted.

Are YOU the Right Family for ME?
I am looking for a LOVING FAMILY who will appreciate my GOOD LOOKS, AFFECTIONATE NATURE and PLAYFUL SPIRIT. I LOVE people, but I will do best in a home with ADULTS and/or CHILDREN over the age of 6. This is because I am a bit shy, and do not like young kids handling me roughly. I get along with some dogs, but would prefer to be the only dog. I have not lived with a cat before, so I am not sure if I like them.

My Sad History!
My current family loves me very much, but unfortunately the baby in the family is severely allergic to me. That makes me sad, as now I have to find another family to live with. Hopefully I can live out the rest of my life in YOUR HOME!
