I am a Big, Adorable, Loving & Calm Doggie!
Hello, my name is Hunter. The volunteer who is helping me write this calls me Teddy as I remind her of a Cuddly Teddy Bear as I enjoy being Hugged. I am a 3-Year-Old German Shorthaired Pointer who is just as sweet as can be. I am very Calm, Gentle and Affectionate too. Please keep reading, as my foster mom has more good things to say about me!
My Loving Personality!
I am a very easy going doggie who is happiest when I am with people. I enjoy hanging out with people. It can be sitting at your feet or leaning up against you as you pet me. I am a dependent doggie too, so I will bond with my new family quickly. I also tend to follow my family around, as I love to be with them as much as possible.
I LOVE to go for Car Rides!
Like I said earlier, I love to be with my family. That includes going on adventures in the car. My Foster mom is amazed at how well behaved I am in the car. I just lay down in the back seat and enjoy the ride. I am relaxed the whole time.....I am such a good passenger.
I am Great with Dogs & Cats!
I am GREAT with other dogs and cats. I enjoy being with them almost as much as I like to be with people. I am gentle when I play and have a calm, peaceful nature that tends to calm the other dogs I am with. I really am a super cool doggie.....call my foster mom to find out more about me!
I LOVE to go for Walks!
I hope you like going for walks as I do!!! I walk very nicely on leash and enjoy every minute I am out there with my family. I was even walked by a 9 year old child and she said I was easy to handle. Pretty impressive when I weigh as much as she does. I weigh 71 pounds, but I am such a good doggie on leash!
I am a Well Behaved Doggie!
I am a calm and well mannered doggie. I walk nicely on the leash, and I am sooo very gentle. In fact my foster mom is impressed with how gently I take treats from her hand. I am such a gentleman. I am also very polite when I greet people. I will just walk up calmly and ask to be pet - I am just a Calm, Sweet Doggie who is looking for LOVE
I am a Smart Doggie!
Of course I am a smart doggie. I know the sit and down commands. I am also already housetrained. I walk nicely on leash and I respond to my name. I am learning the stay and shake paw commands too! You should know that I am very food motivated and people focused which means I am easy to train. Won't you teach me a few more tricks?
Are YOU the Right Family for ME?
I am looking for a very loving family who will appreciate my good looks, calm nature and affectionate personality. I LOVE EVERYONE and that includes adults and/or children of all ages. I am great with other dogs and cats too. If you have a current doggie, please bring him/her over to meet me to make sure we are compatible before adoption.
I am a Healthy Doggie!
I am a very healthy 71 pound doggie who is full grown. I am a bit chubby, but I like to go for walks. I would lose my extra 5 pounds easily with some exercise and a controlled diet. I am up to date on my vaccinations, I have had a fecal check and heartworm screening too. I am even already neutered. Yeah, this means I am all set to go into your home today!
My Sad Story!
My owner was working long hours and could no longer give me the attention and care I needed. Luckily my dog training instructor LOVED ME, and agreed to take me in while I am looking for a home. My Dog Training Instructor is a foster volunteer for All About Animals Rescue. Lucky me. I get to stay with someone who knows me, loves me and she continues my training and makes sure I get the loving home I deserve.

We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
