I am one of the 4 precious jewels. Black Lab/Mastiff mix puppies (BD 4-6-2012) who are lucky to be alive. We were found with extensive neck wounds and had to be separated from our mom at 2 weeks old and have surgery at 3 weeks old. A pretty rough beginning, we are doing much better now and learning all sorts of kool puppy things and getting lots of snuggles and hugs and kisses from our foster mom. All of us have some degree of neck scarring, but that just makes us more precious and unique. Our foster thinks we will be large lab size about 60 pounds of pure, sweet love and affection. We're lively, curious, entertaining and full of puppy antics to keep you smiling for hours. We are working on house training and kissing 101 and doing great. We love to play outside and follow our foster mom around everywhere. People are the neatest things in the world. We will be getting ready for adoption about 5-27-2012 and are taking applications at this time. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, NOT on a first come, first serve basis.
********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
