This means his fee is covered....he also goes with all his belongings (such as crate, toys, food, etc...) What a big goofball this fella is! At 70 lbs of muscle and lots of love he will entertain and be a great companion to keep someone company! Subby is one of a kind and a pure gentleman! He LOVES people! We had a DNA test performed on Subby and the results of his breed are American Staffordshire Terrier, Bulldog, and Boxer.... Did you know that the American Staffordshire Terrier won best in show for the Terrier group at the National Dog Show??!! We took Subby into our organization to get him through his heartworm treatment which he had only a mild case. He flew through treatment with flying colors and had no complications. He is ready for a home of his own! He would love a walker, someone who enjoys the outdoors as much as he does......Also a fenced in yard or leashed walks only please (NO tie-outs)! Subby is very well behaved in the home AND in public! Listens well and is excellent on leash and goes for 3 daily walks. He is GREAT with older children over 8 years old (due to his size and strength, this is best), loves to play with toys, and enjoys chewing on bully sticks or stuffed frozen peanut butter Kongs. Subby also loves mental enrichment activities such as treat dispensing balls, playing hide and seek with toys, nose work, and tearing apart boxes that are filled with goodies! Subby came to us and did not have basic manners so we have been working on this with him to increase his impulse control and making him a gentleman! Subby does know sit, down, stay, "leave-it", working on recall, focus, and drop it. He will sit at doors to come in and out, he will "wait" to be released to eat his food, and he loves to go for car rides and most of all the drive thru at McDonald's where he can receive a vanilla ice cream cone and chicken nuggets. This boy has been a WONDERFUL foster dog but it is time for him to find a family of his own! Subby is a 2-3 year old male that is fully vetted including current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative! House and crate trained (would do best with no long extended hours or blocked off in an area of his own), and cuddles on the couch! Subby does like other dogs that are medium to larger in size with proper introductions and prefers females over males but loves people more and would like a home and family all to himself! He choses people over playing with dogs....and that is not a bad thing as he behaves in public with no reactivity, just wants to be with people and have all the attention! No cats or small animals (such as birds, guinea pigs, etc...)please! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We show most of our adoptable pets at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday from 11 to 3. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees *Senior : 9 & up $100-$175 *Adult : 2-8 $250 *Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 *Puppies: 6 weeks to 6 months $300 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
