My name is Chico and I’m a handsome, 6 y/o Chihuahua Mix looking for my perfect forever home. I’m just a little guy and will fit perfectly in a variety of laps. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was surrendered to the shelter because my owner was a senior and moving to where she couldn’t take me. The shelter was a scary place and I wasn’t doing well there until the rescue angels picked me. Although I miss my mom, I warm up to loving people if they just give me a little time, space and security. . I’m okay with small dogs and not really interested in the cat. He seems friendly enough so maybe we could be buddies. As for kids, since I’m skittish with loud noises and sudden, quick movement, I would do better with older children. I only like to eat canned soft food with a small amount of kibble mixed in, and American Cheese. I love American Cheese and will never refuse it. My foster says I’m a good boy. I’m potty trained and paper trained, Love car rides and laps. Big laps, little laps, doesn’t matter. I will make a great cuddle companion because I love laps and to be held. I will make a great companion to a family who will be patient with me as I have gone through many unwanted changes and am confused at times about where I belong. I need someone who has time for me. Preferably, someone who is home a lot. I miss my and mom sometimes and go to the door looking for her, so I need to be monitored when I go outside in case I get anxious and want to go looking for my old home. My ideal most perfect home would be with a senior family who has nothing but time to dote over me and let me cuddle in her lap and carry me all over like my old mom did.
