My name is Chico and I'm a handsome , 7-8 y/o Chihuahua Mix looking for my forever home. I keep hoping but so far it keeps eluding me. First I was surrendered to a shelter because my mom moved to a place where she couldn't take me. Then I thought I found a home where I was wanted forever, but circumstances changed and I wasn't a good fit anymore. So now I'm looking again. Someone, somewhere must want me forever. I've been through many scary changes and, If I'm a bit skittish, just give me a little time. I do warm up to loving people with time, love and security. My foster says I'm a good boy. I'm house trained, love car rides, do fine with other dogs, love cats (sometimes I think I was a cat in another life). I forgot to tell you, I love laps, big laps, little laps, man or women laps. doesn't matter, I love laps and to cuddle and be held. and cheese. I love cheese. I will make a great companion to a family who will be patient and loving with me. No small children and a fenced yard would be best. My ideal family would be a home with a senior family who have lots of time to dote over me and let me cuddle and carry me around like my old mom did and never give me up again. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees Senior : 9 & up $100-$175 Adult : 2-8 $250 Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 Puppies: 6 weeks to 6 months $300 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
